Gimme Some Lovin'- The Spencer Davis Group



It went to number 9 in the U.S. charts in 1967 and was written by Spencer Davis, Stevie Winwood, and Stevie's brother Muff Winwood. Stevie, who sung the song and was only 19 at the time, would leave the band later that year to co-found Traffic. But this song was the peak for everyone involved. (With the exception of producer Jimmy Miller who would go on to produce the Rolling Stones' greatest records). They didn't have a lot of hits but with this one they reached the mountaintop, and I'm so glad they made it.
